Annual renewal of dental care professionals remains stable
Following the completion of the 2021 dental care professional (DCP) annual renewal fee collection, there are now 69,625 DCPs on the register as of 3 August, which is an increase on the equivalent figure for 2020 of 68,871.
This year, 4,618 people did not renew their registration, which is 6.6% of those on the register on 31 July, compared with an average of 6.5% over the preceding five years.
Every year, people choose to leave the register for a range of reasons but in the past year there has been a net increase in DCP registrants over this renewal cycle.
